Oregon Implant Continuum 

Comprehensive Training Program in Implant Dentistry 

 This is one of the most comprehensive continuing education program about implant dentistry. Presenters include renowned university faculty, world-class clinicians and top authorities in implant dentistry. The program will be presented over a 10 month period. This course is a must for all dentists, both general dentists and specialists, whose goal is to become proficient in implant dentistry. The participation segment is a hands-on opportunity to place implants after having case presentations reviewed by faculty and colleagues.

Course Objectives: This course will enable participants to:

  • Discuss the basic sciences as they relate to implant dentistry
  • Formulate a comprehensive approach to diagnosis and treatment planning related to implant dentistry
  • Assess the many implant systems, their advantages or disadvantages and applications
  • Observe live surgical and prosthetic implant demonstrations on patients and allow participants to place implants on their own patients under direct supervision

Ten 3-Day Sessions (September - June): 

The program includes 300 hours of didactic instruction, which includes some online sessions, plus 80 hours that are Participation/Hands-On sessions as directed by the course instructors. To receive credit for the online sessions, participants will be required to submit answers to questions about the content within a given time period.

Each didactic, clinical and hands-on sessions will take place at Lane Community College, Eugene, Oregon.
